R & B Filipino Cuisine Reviews

100 stars! This is our families favorite Filipino food place. We love their sisig, garlic fried rice and dinuguan. They were very accommodating when I had a catering order and issue paying with my card. Personal thank you to the owner and wonderful cooks for having great food provided and great service (Filipino style!). We will be back time and time again and recommend to our friends.

We ordered 100 lumpia here for about $76 + tax. The service was friendly and welcoming. They only had pork available despite showing beef on the menu. Lumpia was crispy and flavorful. It tasted better with the sweet and sour sauce. They also had other entrees and sides you can order there. Line moves fast so don't be intimidated by the long line!

My recent go to for my Filipino food fix. Located in an unassuming strip mall it's a no frills spot. Their specialty is sisig. My most recent trip there was to get food for the office. When I placed my order for a tray of lumpia, the lady who took my order was rude. But when I walked in, I had no issues with the service. Maraming salamat po.

Friendliest service ever! I enjoyed trying 3 Filipino dishes I have never had. The variety offered was very surprising for such a small out of the way place. 1. Pinatek: mixed vegetables stewed with an anchovy sauce. Probably my favorite of the three- with okra, green beans, pepper and bitter melon. It was mildly sweet as well as savory. 2. Stewed eggplant with beef in a tomato based sauce- I mostly enjoyed this one- except for all the fat and what appeared to be tripe. I enjoy tripe when it is deep fried or used for sausage casing but this stewed style was too squishy, fatty And gelatiny for me. I love fat either fried or melt in your mouth buttery but this was too squishy. 3. Stewed taro leaves with pork- I loved the taro leaves but hard pass on all the fatty pieces of meat in it. I am no stranger to fat, but this prep did not suit my palate. Overall very tasty. I felt the prices were a little steep- $9 per pint of food, but I don't have anything to compare it to. Everything was clearly lovingly hand made. In general I find Filipino cuisine to be a bit too sweet and fatty for me, but it was a tasty and fun adventure to stop in here at this nice mom-and-pop shop. When I am in Mira Mesa, I will definitely try some other dishes out.

Very flavorful, big portions and cheap! Got sisig, lechon kawali, pancit, and lumpia. The fried pork was so crispy and crunchy. The sisig had a very strong vinegar sourness that complimented the meat well. So much food! Service was kind and ambiance was very casual and bustling.
